The Historic Roe Park ResortA visit to the Radisson Roe Park Resort offers a unique glimpse of the region's historic past - with ancient woodlands, family dynasties and even the odd saint thrown in for good measure. The main building itself dates back, in part, to 1743 and has a rich past as a traditional Irish country mansion and seat of power. A sympathetic restoration in late 1980's and early '90's created the modern luxury hotel which still retains the character - and many of the original buildings - of the 18th century estate. The resort is spread over 155 acres which today feature both golf course and 18th century parkland, nestled into the surrounding Roe Valley Country Park - an ancient natural woodland with long associations with various Irish saints and assorted luminaries. It's the history of the place that really sets the Radisson Roe Park apart from other hotel facilities in the area - and it's something we're keen to celebrate. |
